Golden Rule: treat others how you would want to be treated.
Don't be a dramallama, keep ooc fights ooc and ic fights ic.
Phlox is a PG rated site. You can get bloody with the violence, but take your sex and pervyness to PM.

General
~ Post Scripts are allowed but try to keep them simple. Phlox centers around writing well, not pretty pictures. Hence why the layout will remain crudely done.
~ There is no post minimum, I trust you people enough to not post with oneliners (Battles are excluded from this). Mirrorposting is encouraged as it shows that you're putting an effort into your response.
~ There will be no chatspeak of any kind in your IC post. If you have an OOC comment to make, separate it from your IC post.
~ Phlox welcomes and uses all 4 generations of known pokemon.
~ The form of curency used in Phlox is called Nuggets. Everyone gets 25 nuggets to start off with.
~ You can buy evolutionary items at the Melting Pot. On the reverse, the use of insense for making -the- certain eggs is free at the Melting Pot.
~ Phlox observes liquid time. That means that you can have several posts in several different places. Just make sure you don't get confused about which post is first. ^^;
~ There are LOADS of pokemon on the site with "shiny" or different colors. You can find out more about "Modified" or "Tattooed" pokemon, when you join, and they may or may not be shinies, it really doesn't matter. Every person is allowed to have any number-meowth- of Tattoed or Modified pokemon, there isn't a limit. The color of a pokemon doesn't affect its power in any way. YOU MAY NOT JOIN WITH A DIFERENTLY COLORED POKEMON
~ When you are accepted, you don't have to rp the Lab experience out. Some people find it tedious and annoying when you're waiting to start and no one's replying to you.
~When you enter the site you may have up to 3 pokemon, one of which can be up to lvl 15, the other two must be at lvl 10 or below..
~ONLY your STARTING pokemon may have ONE Egg or Tutored move each. No restrictions. Then after that, unless an Admin or Mod says so, it will have no Egg/Tutor/Special moves by default. Otherwise what would be the point of breeders and breeding pokemon with cool movesets?
~ You cannot join with the pokemon on the rare list. these pokemon will be given out as special-sings- event prizes or can be caught in the wild.
~ Rules for Breeding and aquiring Tattoed pokemon can be found inside.

Applying
~ You must fill out ALL areas in the application form.
~ Unless your character is Asian AND happens to be of Japanese descent, you may NOT name your character a japanese name. Surnames are excluded from this.
~ Your character MUST have a First and Last name upon application. Without-at- these, you wil automatically be rejected.
~ Once accepted you have a month to fill out your profile. If you haven't filed it out by then you will be deemed as inactive and deleted. I can't have a bunch of accounts taking up spots that could be used for someone who'll be more active.
~ If you've already been accepted, you don't have to fill in the RP sample box. Just state who you are on the site and you'll be accepted.
~ Phlox doesn't accept trainers under than age of 10.. No parent in reality would let their child go into a rip in the space time continuum and then run around chasing monsters that have-night- the capacity to spit fire, shoot lighting, drown or poison a human. It's really illogical, so yeah XD
~ We do not accept any type of pokemorph into the site. At all. Ever. Period.
~ Because we've actually had this happen to us, Phlox will never accept people who apply with a rolesample like this:

~ Pokemon who apply to be trainers will also never be accepted. Would it make sense for your dog to go around, catching rats and gophers for the purpose of battling them? I can't believe that I'm saying this, but USE COMMON SENSE.

Leveling and Battles
~ Defeated Wild Pokemon give you one level per pokemon that didn't faint.
~ Being defeated-with- grants you one level in any situation.
~ Unofficial trainer battles give your unfainted pokemon two levels for defeating another person's pokemon.
~ Official battles (held at the Grand Arena) give your unfainted pokemon 3 levels for defeating another person's pokemon.
~ Gym battles give your unfainted pokemon four levels for defeating official league pokemon.
~ For winning a trainer battle you get 10 nuggets. For losing a trainer battle you get 5 nuggets. Draws result in 5 nuggets each.
~ TM's are free, feel free to teach your pokemon any TM's that they can -the-learn (using the most current generation moveset)
~ There are more ways to level in Phlox than simply battling. Join us to find out more!
~ Pokemon that Evolve through Happiness will evolve in 5lvls or seven days after acquiring them--which ever one comes later.

Wild Pokemon
~ People can apply as wild pokemon. There will only ever be 7 wild pokemon accounts on the site. If not active for more than a month then that specific pokemon will be deleted and a slot wll open up for grabs.
~ WP have permission to start their own threads wherever the hell they want. if a swarm of beedrill come in from-heart- the forst and into the city, help people out and get rid of them! Pokemon aren't restricted to the wild, yeesh.
~ To capture a wild pokemon, there must be at least 10 posts in the thread; 26(or two pages) if there is more than one person trying-of- to catch them.
~ The wild pokemon must not faint in order for it to be captured. If you don't want-a- to capture the pokemon but instead gain a free level, then by all means faint, no one said you had to catch it. Take note that the WP player decides who gets what if they succeed.
~ The wild pokemon will warn the trainer (IC) when the pokemon is about to faint in order to give them a chance to capture it if they wish.
~ You may only have out as many pokemon of your own as there are wild pokemon. Meaning if there's two wild Magikarp-beast-, thn you may have up to 2 pokemon of your own to battle/talk to them.
~ Master Balls capture a pokemon no matter what post it is. The user doesn't have to wait for the WP to reply. (Masterballs can be bought at the Melting Pot)
~ If either person doesn't respond for 7 days (168 hours) then the pokemon either runs away or the trainer captures or defeats the WP in question by default.
